Molly-Mae Hague has been forced to issue a clarification after she shared a look at her return to the gym three weeks after giving birth to her first child. The former Love Island star shared how she had made a gentle return to her home gym workouts as she filmed herself for videos posted to her Instagram Story.
The new mum, who welcomed daughter Bambi with her boyfriend Tommy Fury on January 23 before announcing their bundle of joy's arrival to fans a week later on January 30, told her 7.1million followers on Thursday (February 16) that she was getting back into her exercise regime at three and a half weeks postpartum.
Sharing a video montage of her gym session, the influencer, 23, could be seen starting her workout on a stepper machine before moving on to do some weight work. And it is then that Molly-Mae made an admission about her derrière.
After watching her self-filmed footage, Molly-Mae typed alongside the post: "These videos made me realise my [peach] has tripled in size from having Bambi [crying laughing emoji]. She then added: "Some serious toning needed but I'll get there in time."
She then shared a picture of herself in the gym, where she donned a pair of grey leggings and a black, long-sleeved workout top with her blonde locks scraped back into a bun. "3.5 week postpartum," she penned. "So beyond excited to get me fitness back... Never felt so ready to get my body back moving again."
Molly-Mae also shared a photo of when she was last in the gym, sporting her blossoming baby bump not long before Bambi made her entrance into the world. But after heading back into the main house, the Pretty Little Thing creative director sent another message to her loyal fans and followers.
Posting a photo of her cat, Bread, giving her the best sad eyes we have ever seen, she penned: "I consisted with my midwife before starting to exercise again. The last week I have felt fully recovered and ready to move my body gradually again. Just wanted to clear that up."
Molly-Mae's return to the gym comes after she said goodbye to Tommy, also 23, as he left to prepare for his next fight in a matter of days. The new family-of-three are going to be separated until later this month (February) as Tommy heads to Saudi Arabia for his next fight. The Manchester boxer is preparing for his highly-anticipated bout with YouTuber turned MMA fighter Jake Paul on February 26.
Sharing a video of him sweating it out in the boxing gym earlier this week, Tommy typed: "12 days to go." And Molly-Mae was quick to respond as she wrote in the comments: "Let’s. Frikkin. Go," alongside a red love heart. But the time has come for him to head off and leave his two girls behind.
On Wednesday night (February 15), after she detailed the pair's horror after cat Eggy got stuck on the roof of their Cheshire home for two days, Molly-Mae took to social media again as she uploaded a photo of herself and Tommy in their kitchen with their baby girl as she said: "And he’s off to go and get that win. We will miss you dadda. So beyond proud of you."
A second image posted showed the pair sharing a kiss while Molly-Mae breastfed Bambi. "Our champ," she wrote over the image before adding: "Bambi couldn't get off the boob for the pic," followed by a crying with laughter emoji.
Tommy was originally supposed to face Jake, 26, back in 2021 but pulled out after suffering a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib. Then, following his victory against Daniel Bocianski in April 2022, Tommy signed up to fight Jake in August but it was again pulled. But ahead of Molly-Mae giving birth, it was finally revealed that Tommy would face Jake on February 26.
