Molly-Mae Hague details 'dark times' after daughter's birth and reflects on what went wrong with ex Tommy Fury

Molly-Mae Hague has told how she "went through hell and back" after the birth of her daughter Bambi as she openly discussed her "dark times".

In a recent Q&A with her sister Zoe, the former Love Island star gave a glimpse of her early weeks of motherhood.

During the conversation, Molly-Mae revealed that she experienced a "breakdown" following Bambi's arrival in 2023, acknowledging her lack of experience with babies at that time.

She said: “The only child I had held was Bobby, which is Fran's son, that's the only child I'd been around, I really had no idea.

“Those first few weeks of Bambi's life… hell and back. We were having a breakdown.”

The pair also discussed the advice they'd give to other first-time mothers, with Zoe saying: “Amy Hart, when she had her baby, Stanley, they really split it, so he would do the night shift, she would do the day shift, and I do think sleep is the way forward.

“So if you've got help and got your partner there with you, rather than doing it all together.”

The Maebe founder then shared the mistake that she and her ex Tommy Fury made, adding: “That's what we did wrong. We did it all together. You have to get your sleep.

“Don't push help away. There's really weird messaging that goes about for new mums, ‘don't have visitors the first month, have your time, put your boundaries in place’.

“I see it all the time and I really took that on board way too heavily. I basically said no visitors and I wanted to be able to say I had all this time with just me and her to bond.

“The first night with Bambi in the house, I was by myself. Now I look back, it sends shivers down my spine, I had no idea what I was doing.”

Molly-Mae also shared her experience of the "dark times" she faced while breastfeeding Bambi, stating: "I was breastfeeding and it was, wow. Dark. That was dark, dark times.

“I think it's lovely to give it a go but don't put any pressure on yourself because that's what I was doing and I genuinely think that contributed to my milk supply just giving up on me.”

The former reality TV star split from celebrity boxer Fury in August, seven months after the birth of their daughter Bambi.

Last week, Fury denied cheating allegations and expressed hopes to reconcile with Molly-Mae, calling her the woman of his "dreams".

He addressed the separation in an interview published last Saturday to promote his autobiography, Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury, due for release on Thursday.

He said that the book had been printed before the couple split in August, which has led to a chapter being added to address it. He also denied several cheating allegations that have been levelled against him following their split.

“All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false,” he told the Mail. “The truth will come out in time and when it does I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words.”

Fury, whose older half brother is former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has doubled down in his denial having previously said he wants to get back with Hague.

“It is proper love,” he said. “Do I still love Molly? 100 per cent. I will love her until my final breath. The minute I saw her I thought ‘YEEEESSS. She's the woman of my dreams’.”

He added: “Everybody could think what they want about me and say what they want about me.

“As long as my family think I'm a good man and Jesus Christ thinks I'm a good man, I don't care what anybody else has to say.”
