Molly Dingwall has been appointed as the new general manager of Haydock Park Racecourse.
Dingwall has been general manager of another of The Jockey Club's racecourses, Carlisle, since May 2018, and will take over at the Merseyside track in the next few weeks.
She started her career with The Jockey Club as a business development executive in 2015 and was appointed group trainee general manager the following year.
In almost four years at the Cumbria track she played a pivotal role in strengthening ties with the local community and promoting its broad range of racedays, including the unique Ladies Night fixture each August, at which every jockey in every race is female.

On her switch to Haydock, Dingwall said: “I’ve had a fabulous four years at Carlisle and will forever be grateful to the team here and across The Jockey Club for the support they’ve shown me in my first permanent general manager role.
“I’m now absolutely delighted to be given this opportunity at Haydock Park, a racecourse which stages Group One and Grade One racing on the Flat and over Jumps.
“I’ve been passionate about putting Carlisle right at the heart of the local community and I’m really excited to have the chance to do the same at another racecourse with such a rich history and engaged fanbase.
Haydock Park stages high class racing throughout the year on the Flat and over the Jumps. And it is often a stepping stone to glory at the biggest meetings as was highlighted at the recent Cheltenham Festival, with Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup winner A Plus Tard having triumphed at Haydock in the Grade One Betfair Chase earlier this season in November last year.
Dickon White, North West regional director at The Jockey Club, added: “In the four years that Molly has been general manager at Carlisle she’s done a fantastic job, particularly during the recent period of managing a racecourse through the challenges of a pandemic.
“Anyone who has met Molly will know the energy, enthusiasm and passion she has for horseracing and I’m really looking forward to her taking over at Haydock Park, which has a catchment area full of really knowledgeable sports fans and loyal racegoers.
“Running a dual Flat and Jumps track provides extra challenges and Molly’s experience of this at Carlisle will prove invaluable as she takes on her new role.”
