British pole vaulter Molly Caudery faced disappointment in the qualification round, failing to clear 4.55 meters and missing out on a spot in Wednesday's final. Caudery, who had a strong season with a jump of 4.92 meters, was considered a top contender for the gold medal.

Her teammate, Holly Bradshaw, who secured a bronze medal in Tokyo, also struggled in the qualification round and did not advance to the final.

The absence of Caudery from the final comes as a surprise to many, given her impressive performances leading up to the event. Fans and supporters had high hopes for her chances at the competition.

Despite the setback, both Caudery and Bradshaw have shown resilience and determination throughout their careers, and this experience will undoubtedly fuel their motivation for future competitions.
