NEW DELHI: Pace spearhead Mohammed Shami on Thursday etched his name in history books, becoming the fastest to reach 200 ODI wickets (in terms of balls bowled) during India's Champions Trophy opener against Bangladesh in Dubai.

Shami achieved the milestone in 5,126 deliveries, surpassing Australian quick Mitchell Starc and several other legendary fast bowlers.
