Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has revealed he isn't a big fan of Mohamed Salah 's tweet after Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final win over Manchester City.
Karim Benzema's extra-time penalty sealed Los Blancos' progression into the final of the competition, securing a 3-1 victory on the night and a 6-5 success on aggregate. Riyad Mahrez had given City the lead, before Rodrygo's last-gasp brace turned the game on its head.
It means Carlo Ancelotti's side will face Liverpool in the final later this month. This is after the Reds beat Villarreal over two legs, including a 3-2 win in Spain on Tuesday.
After it was confirmed Real would be Liverpool's opponents, the Egyptian international tweeted "we have a score to settle". The Reds played Los Blancos in the 2018 Champions League final and it was a game which caused a huge amount of controversy.
Salah was taken off mid-way through the first-half with a shoulder issue after colliding with Sergio Ramos. It was an injury which affected the Reds, and they were unable to provide as bigger threat in attack.
But it was a horrendous mistake from Loris Karius which gifted Real the opening goal in the 51st minute. The German inexplicably threw the ball against Karim Benzema, who was not even challenging with urgency, and watched in horror as the ball rolled behind him into the net.

Although Sadio Mane levelled, Gareth Bale stepped up to score an outrageous overhead kick. This was before he sealed his second goal to win the Champions League for his side.
However, Salah will be looking for revenge after he was injured during that final. Having implied he is looking to cause that against Real in the final later this month, Hamann has delivered his verdict on the tweet.
"I saw the tweet and I’m not a big fan of it, I’ve got to say," Hamann told Sky Sports. "What happened was unfortunate, I’m not sure it was Ramos’ intention to injure him. Obviously he pulled him down, it was unfortunate he had to come off.
"But as we know it took one or two goalkeeping mistakes [from Liverpool ’s Loris Karius] to swing the game into Real Madrid ’s favour. I always prefer when players keep quiet, they can talk after the game.
"But I understand where he’s coming from. He said before the game he would rather play Madrid, he’s got that now so let’s hope he has a cool head."
