Mohamed Salah sends Liverpool message after Carabao Cup win over Arsenal

Mohamed Salah has reacted after his Liverpool team-mates beat Arsenal to earn a place in the Carabao Cup final.

A brace from Diogo Jota at the Emirates Stadium ensured the Reds reached the final of the competition for the first time since 2016.

And they did it without star man Salah, as well as Sadio Mane and Naby Keita, who are all away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite a relatively poor start to both halves, Liverpool eventually ran out 2-0 winners.

And they were swifty congratulated by Salah, who was watching on from Cameroon, where AFCON is taking place.

On Instagram, the Egyptian forward posted a picture of himself watching the semi-final second leg, with Liverpool 2-0 up on 85 minutes, accompanied by two bicep emojis.

Liverpool last won the League Cup in 2012 and Salah will be keen to help end that barren run next month.

The Reds will come up against his former side, Chelsea, at Wembley on February 27.

Chelsea booked a place in the final with a 3-0 aggregate victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Having missed Liverpool’s last three games, the trio of players currently away at AFCON should be back in contention to face Thomas Tuchel's team, given the tournament due to end on February 6.

Salah, Mane and Keita have helped their countries through to the round of 16.
