Roy Hodgson makes 'unpleasant' Liverpool admission after Watford defeat
Roy Hodgson admits the manner of Liverpool’s win over his Watford side left “a rather unpleasant taste in the mouth”.
The Reds earned their 10th successive Premier League victory with a 2-0 triumph over the Hornets at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. The penalty was awarded with the help of VAR, with referee Stuart Attwell ultimately deciding that Juraj Kucka had fouled Jota from a corner. And it was a sequence of events that Watford boss Hodgson found difficult to accept.
