Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will stay at Liverpool for next season at least.
The forward remains one of the most prolific forwards in Europe and shared the Premier League’s Golden Boot along with Tottenham’s Heung-min Son after scoring 23 goals.
Still, his future at Anfield is of seemingly constant debate as contract talks continue to drag on.
In just six months’ time, Salah will be able to discuss a free transfer with foreign clubs but, speaking ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final with Real Madrid, the 29-year-old gave an update.
“I am staying next season for sure,” he told reporters.
Teammate Sadio Mane, meanwhile, was slightly more cryptic in his response. The Senegalese forward is another who will see his deal run out next summer and has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
“I will answer the question [about my future] after the Champions League.
"I’m not saying yes or no, I will answer after the Champions League."
