Modern Warfare 3 is now in its third season. It's being developed with Sledgehammer Games as the lead studio, in partnership with Infinity Ward, and it's definitely a different kind of Call of Duty game than we've seen in previous years. For one, the maps that it launched with are the 16 original maps that launched with Modern Warfare 2 back in 2009. It also marked two years in a row where we'd seen mainline Call of Duty games be in the Modern Warfare series.
Whether you're still working your way through the Modern Warfare 3 campaign, or grinding away in multiplayer, there's plenty of new maps to look forward to. The multiplayer mode already offers plenty for nostalgic COD players, with classic maps like Highrise, Rust and Terminal making a return.
Here's every map that's been revealed for Modern Warfare 3 so far, as well as some information on what kind of maps are now available following the latest season. As new maps are revealed, this page will be updated.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 maps
While we don't yet have the names of all the post-launch maps that will come to Modern Warfare 3, we do know that more will be added via updates. More specifically, 12 all-new 6v6 core maps will come to the game at some point after launch, as part of season drops. The wording here is important, in that 'all-new' likely does mean completely new to the series. We'll have to wait and see what these new maps are like, but at least we have the classic 2009 maps to enjoy until then.
A handful of new maps were added to Modern Warfare 3 recently as part of Season 3:
- Rebirth Island (Warzone)
- Tanked (6v6)
- Growhouse (6v6, Remastered)
- Emergency (6v6)
There are two more maps coming at some point as well, likely as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update. These are Checkpoint (6v6, Remastered), and Grime (6v6).
