MUMBAI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its forecast for the weekend has said that Mumbai can expect cloudy skies with moderate rainfall with the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places.
In the 24-hour period ending 8.30am on Friday, the IMD Santacruz observatory recorded barely 4.2mm rainfall, while the IMD Colaba observatory recorded no rain. The total rainfall recorded this monsoon so far in Colaba and Santacruz has been 291mm and 189mm, respectively. Both day and night temperatures have been below normal. On Friday, the day temperature recorded in Colaba was 30.4 degrees Celsius and in Santacruz 33.3 degrees Celsius.
