Mobile fiction-reading app, SAGA fiction, is all set to venture into publishing as they have announced their first book. The upcoming book is titled 'The Only Way Out is Death' and it is written by Varun Gwalani.
A thriller, 'The Only Way Out is Death' is set in a hotel where 12 people-- all powerful in their own ways-- are kidnapped and imprisoned. Their stories are told from a young lawyer, Kiriaki's view point as the events unfold. 'She has to forge uneasy alliances, navigate complex relationships and feuds, and, above all, try to stay alive. As Kiriaki fights for survival, she must beware of the mastermind of this death game, who is lurking just out of view, watching them closely, making sure they are primed for murder,' read a statement by the publisher.
Talking about the book, author Varun Gwalani said in the statement, "I wanted to write a murder mystery that was different, that didn’t rely on forensics or blood work or hacking, but that was based on people, on how they would act in a dangerous situation. I wanted to include elements of the pandemic, and show that redemption was possible even for terrible people. I’m ecstatic to see the book in print because there’s nothing quite like holding something you created in your own hands!"
Meanwhile, commenting on publishing their first book, SAGA co-founders Aakriti Patni and Pranika Sharma said in the statement, "We are nervous but extremely excited as we take our first steps into print publishing. We are learning something new every day as we get closer to the release date."
'The Only Way Out is Death' by Varun Gwalani will be released on November 25, 2022.
