SEATTLE - Teoscar Hernández is enjoying life as a Dodger. The Dominican outfielder, who signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles during the offseason, had his sixth game of the season with at least three RBI, tying him with Marcell Ozuna for the most such games by any player in 2024.
On May 14, the Dodgers continued their good form clinching the series against the Giants with a 10-2 win. The Dodgers had their sixth game scoring at least 10 runs (T-most in MLB) and have won eight of their last 10 games. Hernández has been a key member to their explosive offense.
The 9-year veteran had a double and a triple against the Giants to go along to his 3 RBI. Hernández now sits at 36 RBI in the season, the third-most by any player in 2024 only behind Marcell Ozuna (41) and José Ramírez (37).
When he first signed with the Dodgers, Hernández was clear on why he wanted to join the team. "First thing is I want to win. Everybody knows how this organization is so that was one of my priorities... I think I just chose the best situation I could make for me and my family and my future," Hernández said.
And less than two months into the season, his bet seems to have paid off. Los Angeles has the second-best record in the National League (29-15) only behind the Philadelphia Phillies (30-13) and their offense is the best in the Majors in runs scored, hits and is ranks second in home runs just behind the Baltimore Orioles.
