MLB fans loved Shohei Ohtani bringing back the pitcher-wearing-a-jacket-on-base look

Remember the days in which your favorite pitcher would get a hit in a game — this is mostly for National League fans! — and you’d watch him put on a jacket to run the bases to stay warm for when he’d head back to the mound?

Well, those days are over. Pitchers no longer hit (boo) thanks to universal DHs.

But there’s one man who can save us from missing the jacket-on-the-bases look: Shohei Ohtani.

On Monday, as the Boston Red Sox hosted Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels on Patriots’ Day 2023, Ohtani got on base … AND HE PUT ON A JACKET!
