Missy Keating reveals she'd love to do a Keeping up with the Kardashians style show

Move over Kardashians, Keeping Up With The Keatings could be the next big show as Missy revealed she’d love to do a fly on the wall TV series with her famous family.

The daughter of singer Ronan Keating and his ex-wife and model Yvonne Connolly, is currently enjoying her first stint of reality TV, as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars.

But the 21-year-old, who is celebrating her milestone birthday today, said she’d love to have cameras follow her famous family, Kardashian’s style.

The influencer turned dance star told Irish Daily Mirror: “Absolutely, Keeping Up With The Keatings, watch this space. That would be great.”

Despite reports that ITV’s Love Island bosses have been scoping her out to appear on the matchmaking series, she ruled herself out of going down that reality route.

She revealed: “I love Love Island and love watching it but it wouldn’t be for me. I would never go for it but I love the show and I watch it every single year.

“It is one of my favourites, but just not for me.”

But the Dubliner, who had been living in London with her dad Ronan, his wife Storm and her siblings, said she could have never turned down the opportunity to take part in Dancing With The Stars in her hometown.

She added: “I’ve always loved the show and I’ve always loved dancing and the costumes and the make-up and the hair are all fabulous so it was a show that I just couldn’t say no to really.”

Missy is set to return to the dancefloor on Sunday after being forced to step out of last week’s RTE show when she tested positive for Covid.

The star said she was “devastated” she and her dance partner Ervinas Merfeldas couldn’t perform on dedication dance week.

She told how she had planned to pay tribute to her late grandmother in the special performance.

She said at the time: “Dedicated Dance Night was something I really wanted to be part of.

“My dance was going to be in honour of my beautiful grandmother, Marie Keating, who I never got to meet.

“Those who know her cancer story, know she was taken from our family at an extremely young age, and this was my moment to be with her and dance for her.

“So, I’m heartbroken with the circumstances.”

* Dancing With The Stars airs RTE One on Sunday at 6.30pm.
