An 82-year-old woman has been found on the Brecon Beacons just in the nick of time, after an extensive search.
The woman had been missing from her holiday home in Mid Wales since Tuesday morning. She was found just as darkness was falling - and rescue teams were preparing to stop searching for the night.
In a post on Facebook, the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team said: "The team were called by Dyfed-Powys Police on Tuesday afternoon to reports of a missing 82 year old in the Felindre area Mid Wales. The Lady had gone missing from her remote family holiday home and had been missing since morning.

"The team along with officers from DPP, completed an extensive search of the area and all the probable places where she may have been. Just as we were completing our search plan and darkness was falling, Rusty and dog handler Steve managed to locate the lady who was found sat down in a remote area and unable to get up.
"The lady was checked over by team casualty carer and apart from a little cold, tired and hungry the lady was able to get into our team Land Rover and was driven to her very happy family who had been helping with the search throughout the day. A very happy outcome and one that will have been a very different story if she hadn’t been located.
"After a cookie and some tea the lady was warmed up by her log fire in the company of her very grateful family. This was a huge search effort involving drone technology, and the very talented Search and Rescue Dog Association South Wales dogs and handlers! Many thanks to the dogs and handlers also who were en route!"
