Missing schoolkids from East Lothian 'spotted near the A1' as more details emerge

A pair of missing schoolchildren may have travelled south of the border after being reported missing last week.

Police in East Lothian have launched an urgent search for Ivana Scott, aged 15, and Noah Holmes, aged 14, after they disappeared from Loretto School

Last seen in Musselburgh on Friday (March 11), an appeal has been ongoing to bring the teenagers home as soon as possible.

On Sunday, officers had stated both Ivana and Noah had been seen at Edinburgh Waverley Station where they had boarded a train heading south.

However, now police have confirmed they are investigating a potential sighting of the pair near the A1 southbound, near Morpeth, Northumberland, at around 6pm on Saturday, 12 March, 2022.

Ivana is described as around 5ft 7in, of slim build with short brown hair and when last seen was wearing black jeans, a grey hoodie and a red beanie hat.

Noah is described as around 5ft 7ins, of slim build with brown hair. He was wearing black trousers and a maroon/purple hoodie when he was last seen.

Inspector Alan King said: "Concerns are continuing to grow for Ivana and Noah and we are urging anyone who may have seen them or know where they are to get in touch.
