The family of a man who went missing while on holiday in Lanzarote have confirmed that he has sadly passed away.
Robert Campbell, known as Rab, from Uddingston was due to fly home from a holiday with close friend Paddy on Tuesday, May 11, but the pair became separated in the airport when Paddy had to be checked out medically and receive fit-to-fly approval.
The 44-year-old had not been heard from since leaving friends and family beside themselves with worry.

His sister, Margueritte Devine, has sadly confirmed that her brother was found dead on Tuesday night. A GoFundMe page has now been launched to help cover the costs of bringing Robert home and his funeral.
Margueritte said: “Sadly our brother died in Lanzarote yesterday and we’re left with a bill of 6 and 10 thousand pounds in funeral fees.
"We are desperate to get him home asap so I am writing this to reach out from my heart to help us bring him home.”
Two of Rab's close friends flew over to the holiday island in a bid to track him down. His cause of death hasn't been confirmed but the family have thanked the public for their support.
So far the fundraising page has raised £1,300 to help support the family in bringing Robert home.
