Missing girl, 14, sparks major search as police swoop town and helicopter circles area

Police say they are concerned for the 'safety and wellbeing' of a teenage girl after she was reported missing late at night.

Katie Clementson, 14, was reported missing from the town of Bodmin in Cornwall at 10pm on Good Friday.

She was last seen shortly before 10pm in the town centre. Her disappearance has sparked a major police response involving officers on the ground and a helicopter search.

Katie is described as a white female, 14 years old with below shoulder-length blonde hair and is approximately five foot eight in height.

Police say she was last seen wearing white Nike trainers, light blue jeans and a grey hoodie.

A photograph released by police also shows a black puffer jacket which she was wearing at the time.

Katie has links to the Bodmin and St Austell areas.

A large police presence has been reported by locals in the Bodmin on Saturday evening, and a police helicopter has been circling the area.

Police are asking anyone who sees Katie to call Devon and Cornwall police, quoting Occurrence Number 50230079981 or Log Number DCP-20230407-0986.
