Missing Bristol man, 26, sent message to family saying 'he didn't know where he was'

Concern is growing over a missing Bristol man who sent a text message to his family to say he 'didn't know where he was' after breaking down.

Avon and Somerset Police have now launched a missing persons appeal in an attempt to find Preston, 26, who is from Shirehampton.

He left his home on Friday, March 17 and he has not been seen since, police say.

Avon and Somerset said in a statement: "Have you seen Preston, 26, missing from Shirehampton, Bristol?

"Preston then messaged at 12.30am (Saturday, March 18) saying he'd broken down and didn't know where he was and has not been in contact with family or friends since. We're concerned for his welfare.

He was last seen at 9.30pm on Friday, March 17 when he left home in his blue Renault Clio, WU18 KBY. Preston is white, 6ft tall and muscular with short brown hair. He was wearing a tracksuit.

He's known to visit Clifton Downs, Almondsbury, Cribbs Causeway and Easter Compton areas.
