Constance Marten and her partner Mark Gordon have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter, police revealed on Tuesday, as a major search operation for their missing baby continued.
Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford, of the Metropolitan Police, said the pair remained in custody at police stations in Sussex but confirmed that the baby had still not been found.
