A Miss Hitler beauty pageant competitor who was jailed for being part of a banned far-right group could be freed this year.
Alice Cutter entered the twisted competition under the name of The Buchenwald Princess - a reference to a Second World War death camp, where 56,545 people were starved to death, executed or died of disease.
The 23-year-old exchanged hundreds of messages with members of hate group National Action, many of which were racist and anti-Semitic, Birmingham Mail reported.
The waitress, of Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax, West Yorkshire, joked about gassing synagogues and using a Jewish person’s head as a football.
Her ex-partner Mark Jones, a former member of the British National Party’s youth wing, was also convicted of being a member and was jailed for five-and-a-half years back in 2020.
Cutter has now been granted a parole hearing later this month after serving just 19 months of her sentence.
A spokesperson for the Parole Board said: “We can confirm the parole review of Alice Cutter has been referred to the Parole Board by the Secretary of State for Justice and is listed for a hearing in late March.
“Parole Board decisions are solely focused on what risk a prisoner could represent to the public if released and whether that risk is manageable in the community.
"A panel will carefully examine a huge range of evidence, including details of the original crime, and any evidence of behaviour change, as well as explore the harm done and impact the crime has had on the victims."
The statement added: “The prisoner and witnesses are then questioned at length during the hearing which often lasts a full day or more.
"Parole reviews are undertaken thoroughly and with extreme care. Protecting the public is our number one priority.”
During a lengthy retrial she claimed that she had been pestered by others into entering the beauty competition.
Jurors rejected her denials after hearing evidence, including how Cutter exchanged hundreds of messages, many racist and anti-Semitic, and was still meeting other members months after the ban.
The CPS has revealed how officers found Nazi books , knuckledusters and knives at Cutter and Jones' house.
At Cutter's retrial in March prosecutors said she had been a “central spoke” among the organisation’s hard-core, and entered the pageant to drive recruitment.
The group was dubbed a 'racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic organisation' by then Home Secretary Amber Rudd when it was banned in December 2016.
