Minnesota woman threatened to call ICE on Wendy’s Hispanic workers, and she was heard saying: ‘I’m black I can’t be racist’

A Wendy’s employee in Minnesota recently recorded a heated confrontation with a customer who threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement on him and his Hispanic coworkers. The situation escalated quickly after the customer, who was sitting in her vehicle with three young children, began arguing with the staff during a drive-thru order.

The employee stated he was simply doing his job and moving through the order process when the dispute started. Once the threat regarding ICE was made, he decided to pull out his phone to document the interaction. The resulting video shows the woman shouting at the staff from behind the wheel. The clip opens with the woman yelling, “You’re racist,” before she follows up with the claim, “I’m black I can’t be racist.”

Shortly after making that comment, the woman reached through her open window and attempted to knock the phone out of the employee’s hand, though she missed her target. As the woman started to drive away, the employee taunted her, which prompted her to stop the car and exit the vehicle. She then began marching toward the employee, who retreated inside the restaurant and locked the doors behind him. The woman taunted him for being scared before eventually walking away.

The employee reported that she later entered the restaurant and knocked the straws onto the floor

The video has since gained significant attention on TikTok, and the response from viewers has been intense. Many people expressed frustration over the woman’s behavior and her attempt to use her race as a shield against accusations of racism. One viewer wrote, “I cant be racist cause I’m black is the most idiotic and ignorant thing to say.” Another person argued, “Any race could be racist to another race. I don’t know why no one f—ing understands that.”

Other comments on the platform were quite harsh, with some users making broad generalizations about the incident. One person remarked, “Violent and racist just another normal day reinforcing the stereotype.”

Another commenter stated, “The fatigue just keeps fatiguing,” while a different user suggested, “They need to boycott the public.” While it is common to see heated debates in comment sections, the sheer volume of criticism highlights how much this video has riled up people online.

As of now, there have been no further updates regarding the incident or any potential consequences for the customer.
