Minnesota Governor Tim Walz exercised his right to vote early in his hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday. Accompanied by his wife, Minnesota first lady Gwen Walz, and his son Gus, who recently turned 18 and voted for the first time, Governor Walz cast his ballot for Vice President Kamala Harris and himself at the Ramsey County Elections office.
After completing his ballot, Governor Walz engaged in a heartwarming moment with his son Gus, who was also filling out his ballot. Together, they submitted their ballots into the vote processing machine. The excitement was palpable as a poll worker announced Gus's first-time vote, leading to cheers from others present at the polling place.
The Walz family showed their support for Democratic candidates across the board, voting for Senator Amy Klobuchar and Representative Betty McCollum, among others.
