Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz commenced his final day of campaigning before Election Day with a festive send-off in his hometown of Minneapolis. Surrounded by a multitude of supporters, including prominent Minnesota Democratic figures, Walz expressed his gratitude before embarking on his last campaign events in Wisconsin and Michigan.
At the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Walz took a moment to thank his supporters on the runway. The event was attended by notable personalities such as Minnesota Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, Minnesota Rep. Betty McCollum, Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter.
Accompanied by Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz and their daughter Hope, Walz was welcomed by cheers from the crowd as his walkup song, “Small Town” by John Mellencamp, filled the air. He engaged with supporters on the tarmac before boarding the Harris-Walz branded campaign plane bound for Wisconsin, where he was scheduled for his initial campaign stop of the day.
