MindsEye has multiplayer and a grenade football mode now, which the handful of people still playing it will no doubt be thrilled to hear

Players clad in blue and red jumpsuits chase a football around a pitch while wielding grenade launchers.

Despite a poor reception, weak sales, and losing publisher IO Interactive, developer Build a Rocket Boy hasn't given up on its open world shooter MindsEye. Which might be commendable, were it not for the multiple rounds of layoffs, the wild conspiracy theories emanating from its executives, and allegations from former workers that spy tech was covertly installed on their machines.

But whatever's going on in and around the studio, MindsEye itself is still receiving updates. And the most recent update adds quite a lot of stuff, though whether it's stuff everybody wants is another matter.
