Miltiadis Marinakis has praised Nottingham Forest's "superb" fan base as they backed the Reds onto a fifth consecutive Championship win with a 2-0 defeat of Birmingham City.
A crowd of 29,292 filled the City Ground as Forest's promotion push received a boost and it is the ninth consecutive home game in which more than 27,000 fans have supported the Reds. Keinan Davis provided a brilliant start for the Reds when he drove forward from the left channel and shot past Neil Etheridge from a tight angle.
The on-loan Villa striker enjoyed celebrating in-front of the travelling Blues supporters in the lower West Bridgford Stand. Blues had chances to score as Kristian Pedersen, Scott Hogan and Nico Gordon all wasted good chances, but the Blues suffered a huge blow when goalkeeper Etheridge had to be taken off on a stretcher after a collision with Djed Spence.

Substitute shot-stopper Connal Trueman was unable to stop Scott McKenna from scoring a second for Forest with the defender powering a header across the line from close range. Miltiadis, son of owner Evangelos, has become well-known among Forest fans for his full-time videos shared onto social media and he provided more of the expected after the 2-0 win over Birmingham.
His latest video was captioned by the message: "Great win and superb support as always. Let’s keep going!"
Forest's 2-0 win over Birmingham - along with results elsewhere benefiting the Reds - means Steve Cooper's side are now third in the Championship and just six points behind second-placed Bournemouth. The two sides have one meeting between them still to play with Forest travelling to the south coast for their penultimate game of the season.
