Milo Yiannopoulos is facing fresh scrutiny in the United States after court records in California revealed a series of alleged text messages to his estranged husband in which Yiannopoulos repeatedly used the N-word, just months before he was detained by US immigration authorities in New Orleans last week.

The newly surfaced material comes from a bitter legal fight between Yiannopoulos and his husband, John Campbell, that began well before immigration agents took the right-wing commentator into ICE custody on Thursday.
