Millions of iPhone and Android users urged to delete 400 apps now

Facebook has issued a warning to anyone with an Android or iPhone device.

Smartphone users are being urged to check the apps they may have on their phones amid worries some apps may have stolen private logins. Facebook has highlighted 400 apps, listed on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, they believe are dangerous.

Many of the apps disguised themselves as photo editors, mobile games and VPN services, but once installed they then set about trying to access private data by suggesting that users need to sign in, via their Facebook account, to gain access to features.
