Millions of people under a hosepipe ban will now be able to water their lawns and wash cars after it was lifted following a period of torrential rain.
Thames Water, supplying London and the Home Counties, has lifted its ban on watering crops and washing cars.
It had planned to keep the ban - introduced at the height of the drought on August 24th - in place till 2023.
