Millions of people who claim benefits could get a backpay of £1,560 from the Government depending on the outcome of a court case.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) was taken to court by benefit claimants over an "unfair" bonus given during the pandemic to those who receive Universal Credit.
For 18 months, Universal Credit claimants saw their standard allowance go up by £86 a month, or around £20 a week, before the 'uplift' came to an end, Birmingham Live reports.
