Millionaire's Row: 5 properties for sale in Nottinghamshire's most expensive streets

There is no denying that Nottingham and the surrounding county has a good mix of property styles, sizes and prices.

While there is still the chance to pick up a bargain, perhaps at auction or a home needing a bit of TLC, property generally came in at an average overall price of £241,516 in Nottingham over the last year and at £240,674 in the county, according the Rightmove.

That's between a 10 and 12 percent rise compared to the previous year.

And prices around the county can stretch into the millions.

The most expensive street in Notts are identified by property website Zoopla every year. Published annually every September, the current top ten list makes interesting reading with roads in areas from Bramcote to Langar, and with average values (rounded to the nearest £1,000) ranging from £1,045,000 to an eye-watering £2,516,000.

Currently at the top of the list is Chilwell Lane - a road that links Chilwell with Bramcote. There is a mix of housing at a range of price points on this road but with the creation of a luxury new homes development in this location recently it is perhaps this that has contributed to the road taking the top slot in the list. Baxter Green was a £27million project by Willmark Homes that was built on the former St John's College.

  2. Beeston Field Drive, Beeston: NG9 - average value £1,498,000
  3. Croft Road, Edwalton: NG12 - average value £1,398,000
  4. Grange Road, Edwalton: NG12 - average value £1,317,000
  5. Blidworth Waye, Ravenshead/Papplewick: NG15 - average value £1,314,000
  6. Upton Road, Southwell: NG25 - average value £1,298,000
  7. Church Lane, Edwalton: NG12 - average value £1,187,000
  8. Newcastle Circus: The Park Estate, Nottingham: NG7 - average value £1,049,000
  9. Dovedale Road, West Bridgford: NG2 - average value £1,047,000
  10. Langar Lane, Langar NG13 average value £1,045,000

Figures are rounded to the nearest £1,000.

Beeston Fields Drive in Beeston is a familiar sight in the 'exclusive' locations list so this £1.7 million home for sale may not surprise house hunters.

The stunning five-bedroom is for sale with Robert Ellis Estate Agents and has a statement oval family room at the back of the house. There's even a sauna, hot tub and games room.

Chilwell Lane

You don't have to have a million pounds to spend on property in order to live in a nice area. Purple Bricks currently has a four bed in Chilwell Lane for sale at a guide price of between £550,000 and £575,000.

The house is described by the estate agent as "a stunning four-bedroom detached" and includes a home office/study and a garden room.

Croft Road, Edwalton

This dorma bungalow in Croft Road, Edwalton sits on a huge plot. Selling agents FHP Living says that it provides "excellent scope for re-development, of course that is if planning permission is obtained.

For sale with a guide price of £1,100,000, the property provides around 2,104 sq ft of accommodation.

Another house in Chilwell Lane that is currently for sale is a five-bed new home. Selling agent Robert Ellis Estate Agents says that it represents a "fabulous opportunity" and is "worthy of viewing".

The three-storey property is priced at £795,000.

Beeston Fields Drive, Beeston

Extended and upgraded this five-bed in Beeston Fields Drive is for sale with David James Estate Agents.

The agent says the house is "beautifully presented and extended" with newly fitted family dining kitchen with new appliances and bi-fold doors, while the first floor family bathroom is "superb".

It is priced at offers in the region of £900,000.

Talking about Nottingham's exclusive locations in comparison to the surrounding counties, Daniel Copley, consumer spokesperson at Zoopla said: "All of Nottinghamshire's most expensive streets have a price tag of over £1,000,000, with the priciest properties found in NG9 and NG12.

"This is also the case with the most expensive streets in Leicester, while in Derby the priciest streets have a lower average value, reflecting the lower house prices in the area."
