Millie Bobby Brown recently shared her experience of performing her own stunts in the fantasy-action film Damsel. The 20-year-old Stranger Things star discussed the challenges and excitement of executing daring stunts during filming.
Brown expressed her initial apprehension about performing stunts, mentioning the surreal feeling of being asked to do them. She described the experience as both scary and exhilarating, comparing herself to the legendary actor Tom Cruise, known for his fearless approach to stunt work in movies like Mission: Impossible and Top Gun.
In Damsel, Brown took on the role of a female action hero, doing all her stunts without a stunt double. Despite her fears, she embraced the physical challenges and pushed herself to deliver authentic performances on screen.
The film also features a star-studded cast including Robin Wright, Angela Bassett, Nick Robinson, and Ray Winstone. Additionally, Shohreh Aghdashloo lent her voice to a fire-breathing dragon character in the movie.
Brown shared her admiration for working alongside Angela Bassett, praising the veteran actress for her talent and presence on set. She recalled her early exposure to Bassett's work through the film What's Love Got to Do with It, which left a lasting impression on her.
Damsel, which showcases Brown's stunt work and the ensemble cast's performances, is set to premiere on Netflix this Friday. Fans can look forward to witnessing Brown's action-packed performance in this highly anticipated fantasy-action film.
