Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour will reunite as a father-daughter duo in a new spy drama.

The upcoming drama will see the pair appear on screen as a family again after starring alongside one another in the Netflix sci-fi which came to an end earlier this year with its fifth and final season.

Written by Adolescence screenwriter, Jack Thorne, the Netflix espionage series will follow Matt Wolfe (Harbour) a disgraced FBI agent turned security expert as he is drawn back into the world he thought he left behind after his estranged daughter, FBI agent Rebecca (Brown) goes missing on a mission.

According to the Netflix website Tudum, Thorne, Harbour and Brown will all act as executive producers on the A24 series along with Brown’s husband, Jake Bongiovi and her father, Robert Brown.

Jinny Howe, head of scripted series at Netflix US and Canada, said: “We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before.

“Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite, this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis, is something audiences are going to love.”

The series, which remains untitled, comes off the back of Thorne’s headline-making and award-winning series Adolescence.

Written by Matt and Ross Duffer, the series also starred Winona Ryder, Sadie Sink, Joe Kerry and Finn Wolfhard.
