Milky Mist Dairy Food reported a sharp jump in June quarter profit, helped by strong growth across its value-added dairy and packaged food portfolio, higher volumes and better margins. The company’s profit after tax rose nearly nine times to Rs 65 crore in Q1, compared with Rs 6.53 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations grew 43.6% year-on-year to Rs 973.45 crore from Rs 678.09 crore.
The company said growth was broad-based across its product portfolio, led by strong demand in summer-linked categories such as ice cream, curd and yogurt. The extended summer season, especially in South India, supported sales during the quarter.
