A plane Miley Cyrus was on was struck by lightning and forced to make an emergency landing Tuesday.
The “Malibu” singer, 29, posted a video on Instagram early Wednesday of the “major unexpected storm” the plane found itself in en route to Paraguay for the Asuncionico festival, which she was supposed to headline later in the day.
The aircraft was then “struck by lightning,” said Cyrus. “My crew, band, friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing.”
“We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay,” Cyrus added. “I LOVE YOU.”
Celebrities, including fashion designer Jeremy Scott and model Alton Mason, expressed their relief that the former child star is OK.
“THANK GOD YOU ALL ARE SAFE,” commented Scott.
Mason posted emojis of prayer hands and a heart.
Held in Asuncion, the festival is a two-day event. Other artists scheduled to headline this year include Machine Gun Kelly and the Foo Fighters, according to Asuncionico’s official website.
