Police have launched an appeal after a man pushed a woman and grabbed another passenger by the throat on a District line Tube just outside Mile End station.
Police said the incident happened at 8.30pm on Saturday June 10 when a man began arguing with passengers before pushing a woman with both hands, causing her to fall onto a seated passenger.
When a passenger attempted to intervene, the man grabbed him by the throat and threatened him with violence.
He left the Tube at Mile End.
Police released a CCTV image of a man on Wednesday who they said “may have information” which could help their investigation.
