Arsenal’s most recent transfer hunt has suggested that the Gunners are looking to build a new Thierry Henry. Mikel Arteta is aiming to sign wingers who could also thrive in the forward position.
According to Dutch news outlet Voetbal international, the Gunners are in pole position to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven. The youngster had been linked with a move to the Emirates in the January transfer window but a deal never managed to materialise.
Various reports have suggested that the Gunners will have to battle it out with Paris Saint-Germain and a host of Premier League clubs in the hopes to secure Marcus Rashford’s signature. Gakpo and Rashford are very similar in terms of their positional sense, which was identical to Henry before his flourished at Arsenal.
