Current indications already pointed towards it being another busy summer for Arsenal. But an imminent Premier League decision could well make Mikel Arteta's transfer requirements even clearer. The Times is reporting that Premier League clubs are set to make a U-turn tomorrow and agree to five substitutions being allowed per team from next season.
The report adds that initial concerns stemmed from the smaller and mid-sized teams, who believed it would give an advantage to the squads which have greater strength in depth. However, there is now believed to be high confidence that a breakthrough can be found.
Following several departures and zero incomings in January, Arsenal's squad has further diminished and that is expected to continue this summer. A number of players see their contracts run out at the end of the season, including Alexandre Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah and Mohamed Elneny.
