Udinese want to sign Pablo Mari on a permanent transfer this summer with Arsenal keen on making a deal happen, football.london understands. The defender has started 12 games for the Italian side since joining on loan from the Gunners in January, becoming a mainstay in the centre of defence.
"I would like to stay in Italy," Mari recently told Gazetta dello Sport. "I'm very well at Udinese and I'd be happy to take the club even higher in the standings. Of course, I still have a two-year contract with Arsenal."
Mari’s departure will help to save the club in the region of €9million (£7.4m) due to an appearance-based clause inserted into his contract when he joined Arsenal from Flamengo in 2019. football.london spoke to someone close to Mari who confirmed that "there are some performance bonuses" included in the transfer fee and Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte reported last January that Arsenal have to pay Flamengo a bonus of €1million (£865,000) every time Mari makes 10 Premier League appearances, up to a maximum of 80 outings.

Sporting director Pierpaolo Marino told DAZN that he will do everything possible to keep Mari at the Dacia Arena beyond next season. "Mari is an Arsenal player, it's typical that a player like that comes to Udinese, not because we don't deserve him, but because in general the way is the opposite. It will be difficult to keep him but we will try," he said.
Mavropanos is set to leave Arsenal permanently this summer, although football.london has learned that the Gunners have a sell-on clause in the deal which is likely to be in the region of 10%. Borussia Dortmund and West Ham are both monitoring Mavropanos' progress in Germany, with a number of European clubs interested in signing the Greek international next summer.
Marseille president Pablo Longoria has confirmed that Matteo Guendouzi will join the French side from Arsenal at the end of the season on a three-year deal. Guendouzi has made 50 appearances in all competitions so far and has impressed with his combative performances in midfield.
