Arsenal can head into the World Cup break top of the Premier League table if they beat Wolves at Molineux this evening or Manchester City fail to beat Brentford. The Gunners are two points clear of Pep Guardiola's side but City perhaps hold a slight advantage as they play before Arsenal on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta has not seen that affect his side in recent weeks though as they have often had to play on Sunday's following their Europa League campaign where fixtures take place every Thursday, with their superb win over Chelsea coming the day after City snatched a late winner against Fulham.
The Gunners have won 11 of their 13 Premier League fixtures which has included two impressive winning runs with noteworthy victories over Liverpool, Spurs and most recently Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately for Arsenal though, the 2022/23 season has an entire World Cup sandwiched in the middle, which is likely to bring any momentum they've built up to a halt.
Arteta will certainly be kept busy though as Arsenal are set to play some friendlies over the break along with their warm-weather training camp, and not all of his players are heading to Qatar over the next seven days.
Club captain Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey and Gabriel Magalhaes have all been important first-team players this season and through either their country not qualifying or them being left out, they will all remain in north London.
However, Gabriel Jesus, Granit Xhaka and William Saliba are just a few Arsenal players heading to the World Cup assuming they do not pick up an injury in their final Premier League match.
Sadio Mane recently suffered an injury playing for Bayern Munich but he has since been named in the Senegal squad while Tottenham's Son Heung-min was a major doubt for the tournament but he was confirmed as available last week.
Although, with many of his Arsenal stars are set to compete for the Jules Rimet Trophy in just over a week, Arteta provided a concise message urging his players to not even think about the possibility of an injury occurring.
"No. We discussed the topic before and I always say to them if you’re thinking about an injury then probably it’s going to happen, he said. "I don’t know if it will happen today, the next day or the first day of preparation for the World Cup.
"So get it out of your mind, you are professional athletes, this risk is always there for you so commit yourself to your job and every action and the risk will be less. That's it."
The Gunners will face Wolves in their final Premier League match before the World Cup in a 7:45pm kick off at Molineux.
