Mikel Arteta's future, Arsenal summer transfer targets, Saliba return and top-four race

Arsenal have hit a roadblock with regards to the Premier League top-four race as back-to-back losses at the hands of Crystal Palace and Brighton has seen them cede the advantage to north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

But all is not lost. With eight games remaining of the current campaign, should the Gunners win them all and Spurs drop points in at least one other game then Champions League football will be back on the menu at the Emirates Stadium for the first time in over five years next season.

Although there could be question marks regarding Mikel Arteta's future should Arsenal miss out on a top-four finish and the Spaniard has some big decisions to make regarding three first-team players - including Alexandre Lacazette - who are out of contract at the end of June.

Furthermore, with the opening of the summer transfer window fast approaching, naturally, attentions are already turning to what business Arteta and technical director Edu can get done as Arsenal will need a bigger squad especially if they are competing in Europe next season.

Amid links to the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ruben Neves, Marcus Rashford, Joao Felix just to name a few, will qualifying for the Champions League have an impact on the north London's pulling power? What's next for William Saliba after an impressive loan spell with Marseille?
