Mikel Arteta wants to offload Pablo Mari - his first ever signing as Arsenal manager - before the transfer window closes next month.
Mari, 28, joined the the Gunners on loan from Brazilian side Flamengo in January 2020 - just a month after Arteta's appointment - and was handed a permanent deal the following summer, despite making only three appearances in all competitions due to injury.
The Spanish centre-back failed to impress at the Emirates over the next 18 months, playing just 12 Premier League games. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Udinese, scoring twice in 15 outings to help them finish a steady 12th in Serie A.
