Mikel Arteta reveals Ben White injury latest in new three-man Arsenal update

Arsenal will make a late decision on the fitness of three defenders ahead of their trip to Brighton.

Mikel Arteta’s side travel to the Amex Stadium on Saturday for their final match before the international break, looking to make it seven wins in a row to start the season.

The Arsenal manager has had his defensive options depleted, with Ben White, Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera all nursing minor issues.

All three were left out of the midweek Carabao Cup clash with Ipswich and it remains to be seen whether they be will passed fit for the Brighton match.

White was forced off at half-time last weekend against Sunderland with a groin issue and, with Jurrien Timber expected to be available, Arsenal could opt to be cautious with his fitness.

Mosquera, meanwhile, has been out since he had to be replaced during the win over Aston Villa last month with a muscle injury.

Arteta suggested that Hincapie was absent against Ipswich due to “fatigue” and he, along with White and Hincapie will be assessed after the team train on Friday.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Arteta said: "We have another training session this afternoon. Really positive about everybody.

“They're all willing to be part of it, we have another session to try to make sure that they are fit."
