The January transfer window was a frustrating period for Arsenal and their supporters.

The Gunners were determined to bring a new central midfielder and striker to the club last month, but were unable to seal any deals despite strong interest in the likes of Arthur Melo and Dusan Vlahovic.

The north London club were unable to agree a loan deal with Juventus for Arthur, while the Italian club signed Vlahovic from Fiorentina, with the Serbian striker snubbing a move to England in favour of staying in the Serie A.
