New York Jets quarterback Mike White was a warrior Sunday against the Bills. He went 27/44 for 268 yards and he did so while taking numerous hard shots to the ribs and chest.
White even left the game for a short time, bringing in Joe Flacco, who went 1/3 for one yard and lost a fumble.
White would come back into the game and fought as hard as he could, as if his job depended on it. The Jets fell short, losing to the Bills 20-12, but White is one of, if not the last person the blame falls on.
After the game, White was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, but head coach Robert Saleh noted that everything checked out with his ribs and that this hospital visit was simply precautionary.
“It showed everyone else what we already know,” Robert Saleh on Mike White’s toughness.
He again says hospital trip is precautionary. Everything checked out with his ribs. #Jets

Saleh has already made note that White will “for sure” start next week against the Lions in what has become a much more important game for the Jets with the team now sitting at 7-6 and trying to hold off the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers in the playoff race.
