Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is getting to take in the NFL Scouting Combine for the first time in his career as the head coach of his own organization.
After answering questions from local and national media for some time and defeating Rich Eisen’s coaching cliche gauntlet, McDaniel stuck around to watch San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch answer some of his own.
While McDaniel was in attendance, Lynch began heaping praise onto his former offensive coordinator who has put in 16 years of work to earn this opportunity and the Ringer’s Kevin Clark caught an awesome moment of McDaniel reacting to Lynch’s kind words.

Nearly everyone who has talked about their personal relationship with McDaniel has shared similar sentiments to what Lynch was saying about him.
Coaching can be a job where you hear a lot of negatives, so it’s great that he’s been able to hear how much everyone has appreciated him recently.
