Mike McDaniel had a delightfully sarcastic response for Jalen Ramsey failing to get a pick-6

The Miami Dolphins got a huge boost to their secondary on Sunday with the debut of cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

After missing a good bit of the season with an injury, Ramsey made his Dolphins debut and snagged an interception and a big return to mark the occasion en route to a 31-17 win over the New England Patriots.

Well, Miami head coach Mike McDaniel decided to poke some fun at Ramsey, who was cited as promising a pick-6 touchdown in his big return.

McDaniel joked that he wanted that from Ramsey instead of the pick-field goal that the team got instead. We’re at the point where you can say this is classic McDaniel, and that’s a delightful world to live in.

McDaniel has been one of the best coaches on and off the field this season, and this is yet another reminder of how spontaneously funny he can be while talking to the press.

In reality, the Dolphins head coach massively praised Ramsey for what he brought to the team in his return.

He did phenomenal,” McDaniel said, via AP. “You want to talk about something that goes above and beyond, like you can’t manufacture what he brought to our team in any other way.”

It looks like everything is going in the right direction with Ramsey and Miami, as well as McDaniel’s delightful sense of humor.
