Mika Baur has described Martin O'Neill as "different" from any manager he's worked with - but he's enjoying life under the Northern Irishman.
The German under-21s midfielder joined the Hoops this summer and always had the move on his mind while O'Neill was determined to land the player.
For Baur, the Celtic hero is one of a kind and has already shown what he is good at as a manager, even if he is perhaps not as hands-on as other coaches the playmaker has worked with in German football.
“He’s just good at making us feel comfortable in the team, to welcome us," Baur said before his side face LASK in the second-leg of their Champions League playoff tie on Tuesday night.
“And yeah, his way to manage the team is a bit different as I know it in Germany.
“But yeah, really, really impressive for me.”
Baur has wasted little time in settling in at Parkhead and performed admirably in the 3-0 first-leg victory over the Austrians last week.
And when asked how he enjoyed the game last Wednesday, the former Paderborn star waxed lyrical about the famous Celtic Park atmosphere.
"It was incredible," he added. "The atmosphere and the energy in the stadium, I knew it before from sitting in front of the TV, so to see it in real life, it was incredible. Such a nice feeling."
