A former midwife has shed a whopping 15 and a half stone after admitting she 'struggled' with the physical side of her job.
Sally Offer, 56, retired early after recognising she was finding it difficult to keep up with the physical exertion of delivering babies. She realised that she had to take something back for herself and signed up to Slimming World after hearing how her patients had managed their weight during pregnancy due to the programme's plans.
At the time, Sally weighed an uncomfortable 26 stone and admitted to snacking "mindlessly" throughout the day. Now, Bristol Live reports that the former nurse has gone on to becoming a Slimming World National Finalist.
